Privacy Policy

For Bare

Last updated: May 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Bare. This Privacy Policy explains how Tinker Terror ("Bare", "we", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and otherwise processes your personal information in connection with the Bare mobile app and related services (the "Platform"). It applies to everyone who uses the Platform. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Platform.

Information You Provide

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign up with an email and password, your password. You may also provide a username and your age range.

Skin profile information. To personalise your experience, you may tell us about your skin — such as your skin type, your skin goals and concerns, ingredients you wish to avoid, your product preferences, and the skincare products in your routine.

Feedback and support. If you send us feedback or contact us for support through the app, we collect the information you choose to share with us, including your message and your email address.

Information We Collect Automatically

Usage information. We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, such as the features you use and the actions you take, so that we can operate and improve the app.

Device and technical information. We collect technical information about the device you use to access the Platform, such as your device model, operating system version, app version, language and time zone settings, IP address, and device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, where you have permitted tracking).

Diagnostics. We collect crash reports and performance data to help us identify and fix problems with the Platform.

Information From Other Sources

If you choose to sign in using a third-party service, we receive limited information from that service in order to create and secure your account:

Sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address from your Google account.

Sign in with Apple. We receive your name and email address from your Apple ID. Apple allows you to hide your real email address, in which case we receive a private relay email address instead.

We do not post anything to these accounts, and we only receive the information needed to sign you in.

Face Data and Skin Analysis

Our skin scan is an optional feature. If you choose to use it, you take a photo (a selfie) of your face with your device camera. This photo is the only face data we collect, and the feature runs only when you choose to start it.

How we use it. Your photo is analysed by Google's AI (its Gemini service) to estimate your skin type and identify visible skin characteristics (for example, dryness, redness, or congestion) so that we can personalise your skincare recommendations. While you are framing the photo, face detection runs entirely on your device to help you with positioning and lighting; this on-device step is not uploaded anywhere. We do not use your photo for facial recognition or identity verification, we do not create a faceprint or any other biometric identifier, and we do not use it for advertising.

How it is shared and stored. Your photo is uploaded to our cloud storage and sent to Google for AI analysis, as described in the “AI Features and Third-Party Processing” section below. We do not sell your face data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it and how to delete it. We store only your most recent scan — each new scan replaces the previous one. Your photo is deleted from our storage when you delete your account in the app. You may also request deletion of your face data at any time by contacting us at heythere@tinkerterror.com.

AI Features and Third-Party Processing

Several Bare features use artificial intelligence to give you personalised results: the skin scan, product compatibility checks, and routine analysis.

What we send and to whom. To generate these results, we send the relevant information to Google, our third-party AI provider, which processes it using its Gemini AI service. For a skin scan, this is the selfie you choose to take. For a product check or routine analysis, this is your skin profile (such as your skin type, skin goals, age range, ingredients you wish to avoid, and product preferences), the skincare products in your routine, and the details of any product you ask us to check. We do not send your name, email address, or contact details to the AI provider.

How it is used and protected. This information is sent only when you choose to start one of these features, and is used solely to generate your analysis and recommendations — never for advertising. Google processes this data as our service provider, under its own data protection and privacy commitments, which provide a comparable level of protection to this Policy. We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent purposes.

Your choice. These AI features are optional. Before each analysis, the app tells you what will be sent and to whom, and tapping to continue is how you give your permission. If you would prefer not to share this information, simply do not start the feature.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not use your information for advertising profiling, and we do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Your Information

Service providers. We share information with companies that provide services on our behalf and process data under our instructions, including Google (Firebase) for authentication, hosting, cloud storage, analytics, and crash reporting; Google (Gemini) for AI analysis, as described above; RevenueCat for subscription management; and AppsFlyer for marketing measurement.

App stores. When you purchase a subscription, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes your payment. We receive your subscription status, but we never receive or store your full payment card details.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Bare.

Business transfers. If Bare is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. When you delete your account, we delete your account information and your most recent skin scan from our systems. We may retain certain information for longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Information held by our analytics and measurement providers is retained in accordance with their own retention policies.
